I am from Vancouver, British Columbia. I received my BA in psychology with a minor in counselling and human development from Simon Fraser Univeristy, where I studied with attachment research Dr. Kim Bartholomew. I completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with the founder of the Veterans Transition Network, Dr. Marv Westwood. I studied his innovative clinical group method Therapeutic Enactment, and completed my thesis on the role of military peer support in the context of group therapy. Following my graduation, I worked full time for five years as a clinical counsellor at the BC Forensic Psychiatric Hospital providing individual and group therapy to individuals with mental illness who have come in conflict with the law. In 2018, I moved to Canada's beautiful capital region to pursue my PhD in Forensic Psychology with Dr. Adelle Forth. My thesis topic will focus on experiences of victimization. Aside from my passion for research, I enjoy choral singing, gardening, biking, and reading about history.
