I am a PhD candidate at Carleton University in the Department of Psychology
My research has focused on mental health across three populations: Individuals with Bipolar Disorder, forensic patients who have come in conflict with the law due to mental illness or personality disorder, and military service members impacted by psychological stress in the line of duty.
The purpose of my research is to improve quality of life and increase engagement in health services in those who suffer from mental illness, psychological stress injuries, or a history of victimization.
I currently work in collaboration with the CREST.BD Network based out of the Univeristy of British Columbia, and the Psychopathy Research Lab at Carleton University. My previous work in military mental health was supervised by Dr. Marv Westwood, and was conducted with the Veterans Transition Network. I have been a collaborator in forensic mental health research funded by the Mental Health Commision of Canada and BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services, and am currently working on two studies at the Forensic Research Unit affliated with the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre.
